Mandarin Institute

Advancing Chinese Language and Culture

The most important relationship this century is United States and China--and yet we have too few Americans that comprehend Chinese language and culture or understand how to work together effectively. The Mandarin Institute is addressing this education gap, with proven results in elevating the number of students proficiently studying Chinese.

The Mandarin Institute is a national K-12 Chinese language and culture education advocate, providing resources for students to prepare for global opportunities. Founded in 1989 at the Chinese American International School (CAIS), the Mandarin Institute is a nonprofit organization that works nationally with schools, community members and other entities to establish programs and promote the teaching and learning of Chinese.
