CEC 2010 Call for Proposals
CAIS Institute warmly invites you to present at the fourth annual Chinese Education Conference: Preparing Schools for a Global Future. This year’s conference is scheduled for April 9-11, 2010 and will include pre-conference workshops and Chinese language program tours on April 8 & 9.
The overarching goals of the Chinese Education Conference (CEC) focus on:
- Providing hands-on professional development resources, which can be implemented in the classroom, for Chinese language educators at the K-16 levels.
- Providing information to administrators who are interested in starting a Chinese language program or strengthening the sustainability of a current program.
CEC 2010 will feature the following eight topic areas:
- Curriculum & Assessment
- Instructional Strategies & Resources
- Classroom Technologies (social networking, online/web resources, educational software, etc.)
- Cultural Integration
- Immersion Programs
- Foreign Language Programs
- Enrichment Programs (including after school, heritage, exchange, and summer programs)
- Teacher Preparation & Development (including recruitment, credentialing, and guest teachers)
